We are pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Geiger to the company as Creative Director, to further advance our growing portfolio of live action productions. Ryan comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having won multiple festival awards for his previous films, as well as making Top 200 on this season of HBO's Project Greenlight. His film, Town Red, screened at the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival and received distribution through Shorts TV and Continuum Pictures.

Ryan Geiger, a film graduate and New Jersey native, started his career working as a production assistant for television commercials and reality television. He assisted with shows for Bravo as well as Bobby Flay programs on The Food Network. In 2009, Ryan directed and produced his first feature film, Stealing God’s Money. It was accepted into The Garden State Film Festival and went on to win Best Feature Film. With the excitement of the win, Ryan went back to work. He wrote and directed the short drama No Going Back, which went on to tour the country in film festivals and won a People's Choice award for Shorts Showcase on PBS. The film aired on the MNN Network in New York City in December of 2013.

Ryan's apocalyptic thriller, Town Red, produced in 2013, won multiple awards during the film's international festival tour including “Best In Show” and “Best Short Narrative,” and screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. It aired on national television in November of 2013.

Most recently, Ryan’s comedy Death By Scrabble made it to the semi-final round with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s HBO series Project Greenlight. The film screened at the DAM Short Film Festival in Nevada earlier this year, and is screening at the Art Of Brooklyn Film Festival later this month.

Ryan comments “It’s an honor to be asked to lead the live action department of the studio – I’ve always admired the amazing animation work being done here, and I’m excited to bring that same excellence to our film projects.”

We’re confident that Ryan will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality commercials and videos for our clients. Steve Day, owner of the studio says “Ryan’s proven track record for creating exciting entertainment has already made him a key addition to the Idea Machine family and we are very fortunate to find someone of Ryan’s caliber to fulfill this important role.”
