Real Healthcare transformation. A fairytale you think? Think again! Because incredible things can happen when the right pieces come together. Not sure you believe me? Well, let us tell you a story. A true story of how four individuals, while following different roads, band together to transform healthcare. This isn't once upon a time. Our tale begins with a physician, working at his family practice by day, and the emergency department by night. He often sees patients from his practice admitted to the ER, and he's frustrated because everything he needs to know about that patients medical history is 2 miles down the road to his practice, not in his hands at the ER when he needs it. He dedicates himself to finding a technology that can give him a solution that physicians have the patient's information they need when and where they need it. He happens to encounter a mad scientist, who's pioneered advanced grid technology, to help physicians and other healthcare professionals. And they initiated their own information exchange networks, sharing secure information seamlessly, and they succeeded.

Meanwhile, in the boroughs of Queens, a cardiologist realizes that he needs to do more than be revered by his 2,000 patients. He wanted to have a bigger impact on the system. He only has to look at his own time limitations, to know what his new direction will be. he realizes that despite his best efforts, most physicians don't have time to keep up with new medical literature. He set out that would create a solution to make that would analyze client intelligence to all the patient data out there. Patient specific information matched to the best practice rules that not every doctor can know in every specialty. And HE succeeds.

On the other side of the country, high in the rocky mountains, two emergency department physicians are acutely aware that patients struggle to make a good decision about when to go to the ER and which one to go to. They set out to create a mobile solution that helps patients determine the right level of care based on their perceived symptoms. They want to help patients help themselves, and prevent unnecessary ER visits. And they succeed.

Meanwhile, a healthcare executive take a leave of absence from work to serve as the primary care coordinator for his son, who's been diagnosed with rino cancer. He spends a year ensuring his son gets the care he needs. He even donates a kidney to save his son's life. he sees first hand from the patient perspective everything that is worng with our current healthcare system, and he's determined to fix it. 2010, he's the newly appointed CEO of Aetna, he has his chance.

These people realized that their companies had what it took to transform healthcare.
