Getting IT certified is a great way to advance your career. When you are ready to take your CompTIA exam, here is what you can expect. You will take your test on a computer, before you start, you will get a reminder of how many questions are on the test, and how much time you have to complete it.

The testing screens have a timer, so you know how much time you have left. You can toggle through the questions by using the next and previous buttons. You can also flag a question you are unsure about to return to it later. There are some different types of questions you might see, types you are already familiar with, like multiple choice and fill in the blank.

Some of our exams now include performance based questions. In these you open a simulations where you perform a task. We try to keep these simulations true to the operating system environment, so you might not receive conformation that the task is complete.

When you are done wit the last question you will get a list of your flagged questions to go back and review if you still have time. After you have completed the exam, you will be asked to complete a short survey, then you will receive your test score immediately.
